Transforming Our Community to Impact Generations!

Our History and Mission

Nehemiah Project Community Development Corporation (NPCDC) was established in 2002 as a community outreach to South Fulton County, Clayton County and the City of Atlanta, Georgia, “to improve the quality of life through assisting and empowering individuals in the areas of housing, education, employment and community restoration”.  Nehemiah Project Community Development Corporation was born from the desire of our founders to do more, after establishing affordable, quality childcare and afterschool services in the community.

NPCDC began by assisting low income families, single mothers and grandparents raising grandchildren with food, shelter, rent, mortgage, and utility expenses.  Additionally, we generated employment opportunities in lawn care, janitorial services, heating and air service, carpentry, flooring, plumbing, electrical, concrete and roofing repair.

In 2010, NPCDC partnered with Project Extend in Atlanta to meet the demands of senior home repairs in South Fulton County, Clayton County and the City of Atlanta. This partnership led to the birth of the Nehemiah Project Senior Home Repair Program in 2012.

On September 11, 2014, NPCDC became a non-profit tax-exempt 501(c) 3 organization, enabling us to solicit financial contributions from others.  With ongoing support, the NPCDC will continue providing minor and major home repairs to low income senior, veteran, and disabled homeowners at no cost to them, while assisting many others with resources, referrals and home repair estimates.

Our Vision

Nehemiah Project Community Development Corporation (NPCDC) provides a range of economic, community development, health, education and housing rehabilitation services to meet the needs of individuals and families who are living below moderate income levels in Fulton and Clayton County.

With this as a beginning premise, NPCDC strives to venture beyond traditional models of community development with the vision of, “Becoming an unprecedented model in Fulton County that is centered on revitalization through a holistic and empowering approach”.
