Senior Home Repair Program

 

The Senior Home Repair Program provides both major and minor home repairs to seniors, veterans and disabled home owners in Fulton & Clayton County at no cost. It is part of NPCDC’s Neighborhood Revitalization Program to incorporate for-sale housing products, including first-time home buyer single and multi-family housing, mixed-income and mixed-use developments. NPCDC seeks to create stronger communities by providing affordable and sustainable housing for low-moderate income individuals and families.

Installations

We provide home installations that include but are not limited to: low flow toilets, air-raider shower heads, security devices, smoke detectors, deadbolt locks, siding, handicap commodes, grab bars, etc.

Repairs and Replacements

We provide repairs and replacements that include but are not limited to: plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, gutter and downspout, roofs, porches and ADA accessible ramps, siding, hot water heaters, windows and doors, etc.

Upgrades

We provide upgrades to make your home both ADA accessible and energy efficient. We also upgrade plumbing and electrical structures.

 

 

How to Apply

Where We Serve

The program serves low to moderate income seniors County Wide. However, preference will be given to seniors located in Census Tracts that are made up of primarily low and moderate income residents. Preference will also be provided to senior housing located in the City of Atlanta, South Fulton & Clayton County. The program also serves veterans and the disabled in Fulton County.

Who We Serve

Applicant must be a homeowner and meet the income eligibility requirements for very low to moderate low-income families (30% or lower 80% of the median income for City of Atlanta, Fulton & Clayton County).

Required Documents

Required Documents for all members of the household: 

  • Social Security Statement, or W-2 Forms

  • Pension statement or three months of pay stubs

  • No Income- Please provide a copy of GA Dept. of Labor Wage Verification Form

  • Copy of Driver’s License or State ID

  • Copy of Water & Electric Bill (Home Owner) 

  • Home Owner’s Insurance (Home Owner) 

  • Tax Deed (Home Owner)
